How Did Muzza Come About?

Well, well, well, you're still here to find out the back story of me ya nosey B*****D. Just kidding, all love around here♡.

I’ve always had a big passion for music. Growing up, whether it was sitting in the back of the car jamming out to tunes with the fam or listening alone in my room, music was always there. Certain instruments and phrasings in songs really stood out to me, sparking an obsession that only grew stronger over time.

In primary school, I joined the school band and played the French horn. When I moved into high school, I left that behind and picked up the guitar instead — which quickly became a new passion. Before long, I had developed a huge obsession with rock and grunge music. Bands like Tool, System of a Down, Pearl Jam, Alien Ant Farm, and of course Nirvana (hence the Nevermind album and Nirvana logo I have tattooed on me) all took a massive place in my heart, alongside countless other old-school bands.

In my mid-teen years, I even formed a band called SCI4TICA. We played a few small shows, but eventually the band fell apart as everyone went their own way — myself included. That period almost led me to give up on music altogether… until I got hooked on EDM.

My passion reignited, only this time it grew even stronger. I bought my first decks (DDJ-900s) and would practise mixing every single day. The obsession just kept growing. Over time, I taught myself the majority of other controllers too, such as CDJs and RX3s.

Eventually, I scored my first residency in Noosa, Queensland, at a club once called Aqua. I played there for a little over a year before it shut down due to business difficulties. From there, I moved into the much bigger nightlife scene on Ocean Street, Maroochydore, securing residencies at multiple clubs.

As time went on, I started producing my own music — which has led me to where I am today.
